Questions, answered

Before you upload.

Will my timestamps or subtitle order change?

No. SRTly separates subtitle text from timing data. The AI translates only the text, and we rebuild the output using your original sequence numbers and timestamps.

How are credits calculated?

One credit covers up to 100 characters of subtitle text, rounded up per file. Timestamps and sequence numbers do not count. You see the exact cost before confirming.

What happens if a translation fails?

The full credit reservation for that job is returned automatically. You can review the error and try again without paying twice for the failed run.

Is AI translation ready to publish without review?

AI can produce fluent subtitles, but names, cultural references, and specialist language still benefit from human review. Use a glossary and check the output before publishing.

Do you support VTT or video files?

SRTly is intentionally focused on .srt subtitle files. Video transcription and other subtitle formats are not part of the core translator.
